The Light After:

Navigating Grief After The Death Of Someone You Love

This isn’t just a course. It’s a portal.

Grief cracks us open—but inside the wreckage is a raw kind of truth, a doorway to something deeper. This program isn’t about fixing you or forcing you forward. It’s about learning how to live inside the after.

The Light After

Everything changed when they died.
But something in you is still listening.
Grief can open the door to what's next—if you let it.

Before we dive into details,
let’s make sure we’re a good match:

The Light After is for you if life split open—and you’ve been standing in the after, unsure how to go on.
Maybe it’s been weeks. Maybe it’s been years. Either way, nothing anyone has said has really touched the depth of it. The advice doesn’t land. The world moved on—and you’re still here, holding the pieces.

This is for you if you can’t imagine a future without them.
If you feel stuck in the thick of it—but some part of you still wants to understand this grief, to feel it differently, to live inside it with more clarity, more breath, more truth.

This program is for you if any of this sounds familiar…

You miss your person like hell.
You wake up in a world that no longer makes sense—and the idea of building a life without them feels impossible. You're managing the basics (on most days), but joy, love, or even hope? Those feel completely out of reach.

No one ever taught you how to grieve.
Now that death has arrived at your door, you’re realizing how little we’re given to work with. You wonder if you’re doing it “wrong.” Everyone else seems to have moved on, but you’re still here, aching, questioning everything you thought you knew about life, death, and meaning.

You’re tired of other people’s opinions.
From your mom to your best friend to the checkout clerk, everyone seems to have something to say about how you should be grieving. You feel pressure to “move on,” but you’re not sure what that even means—or if you want to.

You feel stuck.
Either you can’t seem to move forward, or you’ve thrown yourself into change and still feel lost. Maybe your body’s speaking up—sleepless nights, tight shoulders, a gut that won’t settle. You want to feel different, but you don’t know how.

You’re grieving and parenting.
There are littles in your life, and you want to show up for them—but no one showed up for you, so you’re not sure where to start. You don’t know how to talk about death with children, or how to support their grief when yours is still so heavy.

If something in you is saying yes—or if the tears are already coming—Hi.

We see you.
You’ve found your way to the right place. And we’re so glad you did.

The Light After offers more than guidance—it’s a companion for the road ahead.
Rooted in compassion and real-world tools, this course helps you move with your grief, not against it—and begin shaping a life that still feels meaningful, even in the wake of so much loss.

The Light After offers real support for the grief no one prepared you for.

We’ve held a spot for you.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS EXPERIENCE

“Grief On Purpose changed my life. I know, it’s dramatic, but truly, after my partner died, my life was at a point where I didn’t know how to direct it anymore.”

-Meg, 25

“Every day I felt all these confusing feelings; I was living in a state of anxiety and peril, even just to go to the grocery store…I went from a highly reactive and emotional person, so easily triggered, that daily life was difficult. I am no longer the shell of who I was, and now am the best version of myself – all because grief on purpose showed me the way.”

-Kelsey, 41

To my fellow griever,

Hi. I’m so sorry we had to meet under these circumstances—but I’m truly glad you’re here.

Grief is disorienting. Lonely. A world that no one prepares you for. I know it intimately.

My own journey with grief began in 2007, when I was 26. Beau—my best friend, my on-again-off-again partner, the person who knew me best—died unexpectedly of a heroin overdose. His death cracked something open in me that would never quite go back to the way it was.

In the days, months, and years that followed, I searched for support, for something that could hold the weight of what I was carrying. But what I found felt thin, too clinical or too shallow for the depth of my sorrow. That void lit a fire in me. A quiet, unshakable knowing that grief deserved better—and so did we.

Grief On Purpose was born from that knowing.
A space built by grievers, for grievers. A place where your pain isn’t pathologized. Where you’re not told to move on, cheer up, or let go. A space where the ache is honored, and where you’re never asked to pretend you're fine.

We created The Light After as an extension of this work—a guided, gentle offering for people navigating life after the unthinkable. A place to come home to yourself. To walk your path in your own time. To hold both the love that remains and the life that still wants to be lived.

Whenever you’re ready, we’ll be here.

With love—and in their memory,
Laura
